Join your fellow classmates from the class of ’83 as Merle Bicknell, assistant dean for physical resources at Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences, gives an update on House Renewal, one of the largest and most ambitious capital improvement campaigns in the history of the University. For this event, Dean Bicknell will be joined by two of the architects involved, Aaron Lamport ’90 and Nathaniel Rogers, ’05, both of Beyer Blinder Bell (BBB), a design, preservation, and planning practice in New York. Dean Bicknell has overseen the renewal of six river Houses—Quincy, Leverett, Dunster, Winthrop, Lowell (in progress), and Adams (upcoming). In the presentation, Dean Bicknell and the architects will discuss how the Houses serve as the foundation of the Harvard undergraduate community, as well as the value of renewing the Houses. Highlights will include both the renovation and preservation of existing House structures that are integral to community life and the time-honored traditions of each House.

This is an opportunity to learn more about the House Renewal project in advance of our 35th re-union, as well as a chance to connect with classmates in the New York City area.
